วัดแก้วพิจิตร ตั้งอยู่ริมฝั่งทางด้านขวาของแม่น้ำบางปะกง ในเขตเทศบาลเมืองปราจีนบุรี ห่างจากตัวเมืองไปทางทิศตะวันออกประมาณ 2 กิโลเมตร เป็นวัดเก่าแก่สร้างเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2422 โดยนางประมูล โภคา (แก้ว ประสังสิต) ภรรยาของขุนประมูลภักดี โดยเศรษฐีนีใจบุญชาวปราจีนบุรี ในราวรัชกาลที่ 4 ต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2461 เจ้าพระยาอภัยภูเบศร์ (ชุ่ม อภัยวงศ์) ได้สร้างพระอุโบสถเพิ่มเติม จึงมีลักษณะทางสถาปัตยกรรม และลวดลายประดับอาคารประสมประสานระหว่างศิลปไทย จีน ยุโรป และเขมร สิ่งที่น่าสนใจภายในวัด ได้แก่ พระอุโบสถที่ ฝาผนังด้านนอกมีภาพปูนปั้นเรื่องรามเกียรติ์ ตัวละครในเรื่องรามเกียรติ์ ภายในพระอุโบสถมีภาพวาดบนแผ่นผ้าเกี่ยวกับเรื่องราวในพระพุทธศาสนา เช่น ทศชาติชาดก มารผจญ ทำโดยช่างหลวง ในรัชกาลที่ 6 ด้านหน้าพระอุโบสถมีอาคารเรียนหนังสือไทยนักธรรมบาลีเป็นอาคารคอนกรีต รูปสถูปโดม ศิลปกรีก หรือโรมันอยู่หลังหนึ่ง นอกจากนั้นภายในวัดแก้วพิจิตรยังมีหอพระไตรปิฎก และศาลาตรีมุขที่ท่าน้ำ บรรยากาศภายในวัดร่มรื่น
